How we will work together

Collaborative | Explorative | Heard

You can meet with me online or in person in my private counselling space in Elgin, Moray. Sessions usually last one hour, are confidential, and focus on what matters most to you. I’ll work with you at your own pace, helping you feel heard, understood, and supported throughout our work together.

We’ll start with a free 10-minute introductory call. After that, sessions are £45, with payment due at the end of each appointment by cash or bank transfer.

Around every six sessions, we’ll take time to reflect together and make sure the counselling continues to feel supportive and right for you.

Professional Care

Your wellbeing and safety are at the heart of my practice. I am a registered counsellor with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP).

Heather Christie's BACP membership number.

This qualification demonstrates that I have completed the extensive training required to join the UK’s largest counselling regulatory body.

What Counselling do I offer?

I work with adults (age 18 and over) and my approach is grounded in a person-centred philosophy, meaning you remain in control of what we explore and the pace we work at.

I integrate a range of counselling skills and my own varied life experiences to respond to each individual, rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

Areas of Support

I work with adults experiencing a wide range of challenges such as:

  • Anxiety or depression

  • Stress or anger

  • Recovery from trauma

  • Self-harm and addictions

  • Parenting concerns

  • Grief and bereavement.

If what you’re going through isn’t mentioned here, please don't worry -  just get in touch and we can discuss what support you are looking for.
